Ms. Veronica Smith is our second grade teacher. As with all of our teachers, Ms. Smith follows the Fall River Diocesan curriculum as well as MA Curriculum Frameworks. Children do a lot of hands on work in groups/partners. 2nd grade students begin the writing process through various assignments such as writing short stories, poems, and book reports. Science is based on various activities including labs/experiments (i.e., creating animal habitats, inventing your own planet, how volcanos erupt and what happens, etc.). In Social Studies students are required to do projects based on a specific unit theme (creating a community guidebook, preparing a speech, etc.).
